In late February, I still wasn't happy with the amount ofhorsepower or the lack of. Looking to get every ounce out of the engine I decided to invest in a Flex-a-lite Black Magic electric fan. Hopefully this would help free up a few ponies by removing the constant load of the clutch fan.

In March, the fan finally arrived from JEGS at where I work. I raced home to attemp the installation of the fan.
|
The basic installation of the fan was pretty easy. Following the instruction I had the fan installed in about 15 to 20 minutes with all of the wires hooked up except for the low amp power lead from the fuse box. I searched the fire wall for a grommet location. The one on the passenger side was already full with the radio antenna, the + power from the battery to both of my amps and my fog light trigger wire. So with more searching I found the one below the brake booster on the drivers side.

The next problem was locating an active spot on the fuse block that was ignition controlled. I didn't want to tap into anything that was already being used. I finally tapped into and empty accessory fuse slot.
