Problems
- An Extra Week To Get The Block And Heads Back From The Shop.
- Had To Wait 2 1/2 Weeks To Get My Headers Back From Toefco. The Engine Sat In the Truck For About Two Weeks Before I could Even Try And Start It.
- JET TBI Blueprinting
- The TBI Did Not Work After I Installed It. The Injectors Would Not Squirt.
- I Fought This Problem For Three Days Before I Determined the Injectors Were The Culprit.
- I Called JET The Day After Thanksgiving But No One Was There.
- Had To Wait Until Monday To Eventually E-mail Them To Find Out.
- They E-mailed Me Back The Next Day Stating That The Injectors Might "Lockup" If Stored For A Prolong Time. It Would Have Been Nice To Know This Before Hand.
- Had To Buy Rebuilt Injectors. I Needed My Truck Fast Because The Temps Were Falling Into The 40's And It Was Getting Cold Riding A Motorcycle
- Broke The TBI Metering Valve Body Installing The Rebuilt Injectors.
- Took Another Two Weeks To Get The New Metering Body From A GM Dealer.
- Set The Distributor Up For A 2.8L Instead Of The 4.3L. Took Almost a Week Before I Figured That One Out. I'm Just An Idiot Sometimes.
- Filled The Oil With Gas Because Of The Misfires From The Above Problem Setup.
- Had To Change Oil From The Above Problem.
- The Truck Had Literally Sat For Over 8 Weeks And I had To Start It With 2 Month Old 87 Octane. Purely My Stupidity So I Topped It Off With Amoco Premium.
- The New Engine Does Not Like Amoco Premium. It Prefers Shell Premium Better.
- By January 2000 Premium Gas Increases .20 to $1.54
- (Update By March Premium Gas Increase to $1.74)
- New Rebuilt Alternator Started To Loose A Bearing After 4 Weeks.
- That Enough Problems For Me.

Hopefully I'll have picture of the truck and engine soon. It has been pretty cold and snowy lately and the TRUCK looks like hell.
